BTCC NEWS: Cataclean Racing unveils British Touring Car Championship challenger

We have revealed our Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship race car, as driver Dan Rowbottom unveiled his 2019 mount at Autosport International.

Renault Clio UK Cup graduate Rowbottom will make his debut in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship this season driving a Mercedes-Benz A-Class run by Ciceley Motorsport under the Cataclean Racing banner. The stunning-looking car, resplendent in our Cataclean livery, was a show-stopper at the NEC today, with BTCC rookie Dan a hit with the BTCC fans as he was interviewed on the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship stage by Motorsport Newseditor and BTCC journalist Matt James.

Our Cataclean Racing Mercedes-Benz A-Class gives Kidderminster-based Dan a perfect platform on which to make his BTCC debut, as it is a race-winning car and operated by the Ciceley Motorsport squad spearheaded by experienced team owner and racer Russell Morgan.

“I can’t wait to get started,” said Dan. “The car looks superb and with the support of Ciceley Motorsport I feel at home already. Russell is a great team principal and his son Adam is not only a BTCC race winner but also a very generous team-mate and I am sure that I will benefit from having him alongside me. I accept that this is a learning year, but I have proved my racecraft in karting, SEATs and Clios and I reckon it won’ take me long to get up to speed. The Mercedes has proved to be a race-winning car and with Ciceley having all the data I can tap into that and make rapid progress.

“We have a pre-season testing programme planned and then we can go racing! I am under no illusions about this season, but I can’t wait to get started and to get stuck in!”

Our Cataclean Racing Mercedes-Benz A-Class, backed by us, will hit the tracks in the next few weeks ready for the opening rounds of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, Kent, on April 6/7 with all the race action televised live and exclusive on ITV4.

As part of their commitment to Motorsport in the UK, Cataclean are extremely proud to support the British Motorsport Marshals Club (BMMC) by providing free overalls to the volunteers who give up their time to marshal at motorsport events across the UK.

Now in it's third year, the three-year deal between Cataclean and the BMMC is paving the way for marshals to forgo the usual £60 uniform fee.

New orders for the distinctive orange, fire-resistant marshals' overalls now feature a Cataclean badge, alongside existing sponsor's branding.
